Marketing student, sponsored snowboarder, and Pacific Northwest native building a career at the intersection of brand and culture.

Who I Am

About Me

Hi, I'm Fisher — a Marketing major at Western Washington University, graduating Spring 2027. I'm drawn to brand strategy, consumer behavior, and connecting people to products they actually care about.

Outside the classroom, I'm a sponsored snowboarder and brand ambassador for Lib Technologies, based out of Bellingham with deep roots in the Pacific Northwest snow community. Whether I'm running a demo clinic at Snoqualmie Pass or working through a marketing case study, I bring the same competitive drive to everything I do.

Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn.

Activity Reflection — LinkedIn

Category 4: Career Preparation · Completed Spring 2026

For BUS 310, I completed the activity of creating and setting up an active LinkedIn profile as part of my professional development in the Career Preparation category. The goal was to establish a credible online presence that connects my academic background to real career opportunities in the marketing field. To accomplish this, I built out my profile with my education, relevant coursework, and a summary that reflects my interests in brand strategy and the outdoor industry. I reached out to professionals in my network, including contacts from the snowboard and marketing industries, to begin building meaningful connections. This experience was more valuable than I expected — it pushed me to articulate my skills and goals in a concise, professional way that I hadn't been forced to do before. LinkedIn also helped me realize how much of career development happens before the job application, through visibility and relationship-building. I would absolutely recommend this activity to other students because it creates a foundation that every other career preparation step builds on top of.
